Building Strong, Confident Math Thinkers:

At Cary Preparatory, all of our classes are collaborative and hands-on, giving students the chance to learn through discussion, problem-solving, and shared discovery. We believe math is meant to be explored, not memorized, so our small group and homeschool classes are designed to build confidence, resilience, and critical thinking skills. The tools and habits students gain in our sessions go beyond math—they foster curiosity, persistence, and problem-solving abilities that carry into everyday life.

Small Group Math Classes
Grades 3-8

Math is more powerful when learned together. Research shows that students in small group settings develop a deeper understanding, stronger problem-solving skills, and greater confidence in math.

Our classes are designed to foster collaboration, curiosity, and critical thinking.

Each session includes:

  • Engaging, hands-on activities

  • Peer-to-peer problem-solving

  • Meaningful discussions that strengthen reasoning

  • A supportive environment where math confidence grows

Classes meet once per week on:

  • Mondays for Grades 3–5

  • Tuesdays for Grades 6–8

  • Each grade level has two session options to accommodate your schedule.

Group learning is the most effective way to build lasting math skills—and prepare students for real-world collaboration.

Homeschool Math at Cary Preparatory
Ages 8-14

Our homeschool math classes are designed to make learning engaging, collaborative, and hands-on. We offer small group classes on Monday and Tuesday early afternoons for ages 8–14. Students are generally grouped into 8–11 and 11–14, but we keep things flexible to match your child’s needs.

Looking for something tailored? We also offer customizable options where you can book my space and me for your entire group (up to 8 kids). These sessions can be built around any math topic your group would like to explore.

At Cary Preparatory, homeschool students don’t just practice math—they experience it in ways that spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage deeper understanding.
